Will teaches online at Drawing America, with courses in figure drawing, composition, and inventive drawing. His classes explore figure construction through line, mechanics, and gesture; visual storytelling through composition, set dressing, and lighting; and observational techniques for understanding, interpreting, and inventing props and environments.

PARIS COURSES:

Every year, Will teaches a series of three-week intensive courses in person at Beaux-Arts & Entertainment in Paris. The focus is on drawing the human figure—nude and costumed—using a classical, structural (volumetric) approach to the live model. Designed for students interested in animation or figurative painting, this course builds skills for drawing both from observation and imagination.

COPENHAGEN WORKSHOPS:

Will teaches a three-day drawing workshop in Copenhagen each spring, exploring figure construction and proportion, facial features, fabric, animal anatomy, lighting, and techniques for bringing drawings to a successful finish. The 2027 workshop will take place May 15–17. Enrollment information and a link to register will be posted here when available, so please check back.

LOS ANGELES WORKSHOPS:

Will hosts occasional in-person workshops in and around LA County at various museums and scenic locations. These workshops focus on observational on-location drawing techniques and skills for environments and scenes.​
